Unusually, the weaving company that built this mill remained the owners throughout its operation. It started with a small shed in 1859/60 and after several extensions, by 1885 the mill was running 750 looms.

In 1927, a new extension for an extra 500 looms was in place but a fire destroyed the original four-storey building soon after. Production ended in 1959. The chimney dates from the mid-1920s.

The premises are now used for warehousing.
