This combined spinning and weaving mill built around 1800, employed 500 people and had 22,712 spinning mules, 14,732 ring spindles and 932 looms during the 1920s. From 1962 Lambert Haworth used it for the manufacture of footwear until 1998, when it became a factory shop and museum.  Storm Eva, in 2015, flooded the building and it lay empty until its current occupiers, We Buy Books, moved in.
